What does it feel like to be hypnotised?
Its like being in a very relaxing daydream

Will I be aware of what is happening during hypnosis?
Yes— often our senses are sharpened during hypnosis and you will be aware of anything going on around you

So I’m not asleep or unconscious then?
No— not at all, just in a state of relaxation with your attention focused.

Can I be influenced to do something against my will?
No— you are in complete control at all times and can come out of the hypnotic state any time you wish to do so. Hypnotherapy is nothing like stage hypnotism.

Can I get locked into a hypnotic state?
No— you will naturally come out of hypnosis after a short period of time.

Can I learn self hypnosis?
Yes— and I encourage you to do so as a tool to take away and use for yourself

How many  sessions will I need?
That depends on the issues we are working on.  On average it takes between 3 and 6 sessions, but no two people are the same.

Can you guarantee a result?
No— but most people benefit from hypnosis in a variety of ways. Most people experience some benefits after the first session

Do hypnotherapists use hypnosis on themselves?
Yes— self hypnosis is a great tool.

Is it confidential?
Yes – totally.  I’m bound to keep the same level of confidentiality as a doctor or lawyer.

Can I bring someone with me?
Yes – they can sit in on the session or wait outside for you.  Remember that if someone is in the room, you may find this off putting – especially if you are discussing very personal matters.
